What are the dates of the tour?
Saturday and Sunday April 24 and 25, 2010.

What are the hours the studios are open?
Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm

Can I visit the studios any other time?
Yes, our phone numbers are listed when you click on our names on this website, so that you can make an appointment any time of the year.

I can't read the map. How can I get to the studios?
A larger map will appear in the Inside Out Section of The Roanoke Times, Thursday, April 22.

Brochures with maps will be available starting April 1 at The Market Gallery, Studios on the Square, Gallery 108, The Taubman Museum, Southern Graphics, and many other popular retailers all over the Roanoke Valley.

To have a map mailed to you, call Mary Bullington at
540-904-2828, request an OPEN STUDIOS brochure, and leave your name, mailing address, and zip code.

On the tour weekend the sites listed on the map will be plainly marked with OPEN STUDIOS signs and banners.

How many artists are involved this year?
There are 26 artists on the tour this year, including 10 OPEN STUDIOS guests.

Does the tour cost anything?
The tour is free.

Is it OK if I bring along my children?
Children are encouraged. Many of us teach children and love to show them how things are made.

Will there be food or drinks?
We serve light refreshments such as cookies or pretzels. Each artist chooses what they will serve. Drinks are simple and nonalcoholic.
